If you’ve been struggling to boost your email subscribers, did you know you can attract high-quality leads with content locking?
Whether you’re a blogger or an online business owner, I know how challenging it can be to grow your email list or achieve your marketing goals.
Fortunately, one of the quickest and simplest ways to encourage people to sign up to your email list is by using OptinMonster’s Content Locking tool.
Not only will this attract the right people to engage with your content, but it’ll also help you build a long-term audience.

What is content locking?
If you’ve never heard of a content locker before, it’s basically the technique of blocking or blurring part of your blog content and asking your visitors to take a specific action (i.e. susbscribe to your email list), before making remainder of the content visible to them.
Take a look at the image below to see how a content locker looks using OptinMonster.
When is the best time to use a content locker to boost email subscribers?
If not used the right way, content locking can frustrate your blog visitors and possibly drive them away. When done properly, however, it’s an effective tool to skyrocket your email list and gain quality subscribers.
Think about it- when you truly provide high-quality content that is valuable to your audience, let’s say a free online course or a step-by-step tutorial, they will likely act on the condition presented before them.
Now, of course you don’t want to block content on all of your posts; especially one’s that provide general information that can easily be found on the internet.
For example, if your article is about if a tomato is a fruit or a vegetable, and you decide to content lock that, I’m 99.99% sure no one will subscribe.

So, how does a content locker work?
To lock your content, you’ll first need to install a tool to your WordPress website (more on that below).
One of the most effective tools on the market today is OptinMonster, with nearly one million active installations on WordPress.
As a premium tool, there is a cost attached to it with monthly plans starting at just $9.
However, to make use of the content locking feature, you’ll want to opt-in for the Plus plan, which includes a ton of other awesome features.
Not to mention, if for any reason you’re not satisfied with the tool, OptinMonster offers a 14-day money back guarantee to give you peace of mind.
To get a gist of how the tool works and what all it offers, check out this short video below.
